hoard of the rings

it wasnt a good year for movies. it hasnt been a good decade for movies in fact. the problem is, every year the academy (whoever those dudes are) grab onto one movie and suck its dick the entire awards season. it started with back with forest gump, which deserved all the kudos it got, but this is a seriously foolish (not to mention somewhat lazy) trend the industry is following. so many movies come out in the span of a year, and it just doesnt seem fair to celebrate only 5 or so of the movies that came out in that time. i feel like there are movies that arent even considered because a lord of the rings or a cold mountain came out and for some reason those seem to be the pinnacle of movie making at that moment. i confess, i myself didnt see any of the lord of the rings. but i did see big fish, and thought it was beautiful. it was only nominated for one award tonight (best original score) and it didnt win (danny elfman is a bad ass for not even showing up). i wont...no, i CANT stand by and watch this go on another year, so axel and i decided that we are going to kill the awards next year. blow up the whole building so that hollywood is forced to start over with new shitty actors. sometimes the only way to remedy a situation is to scrap it all and start anew. we will have our shitty hollywood.

the entire ceremony wasnt shit, heres a list of things i thought were extra special:

*respect to mitch and mickey (eugene levy and katharine o'hara) for their amazing performance.

*it was strange to see how many actors died this year that i hadnt even caught wind about. i mean fuck, gregory hines is dead?

*will ferell and jack black are seriously two of the funniest dudes in america.

*Scarlett Johansson
