So halloween was interesting. Not going to be called a favorite, but beats a few from the past...
No bonfire this year, since no one wanted to go to the beach and stay up all night. With Halloween falling on a Sunday and all that... So it was just Conner and myself with a few bottles of whiskey. I made some
Barnbrack Cake. I have a lot of left over, if anyone wants to try it. No its not poisoned... since Conner ate some and is still alive...
But after wards,
Conner and I went on our own trick or treating... Without going door to door... Mainly scaring the hell out of unattended kids. And picking up any worth while candy...
As for others scaring the masses...
Why a barbie doll...? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After fiddling around on the Internet for so long and grumbling over finding a rag with her ring; Erin decided to call up Wilm. He had been one of the few people she wanted to hangout with this weekend, but things came up he couldn't avoid. Understandable, but still no fun...
She knew he had a friend over who wasnt feeling too great, but maybe he went back home. Maybe the two would have some alone time.
But as luck would have it, the friend was still over, and sour as ever. Yet Erin was still allowed to come over and visit. Ash too. But not the golf club, though cake was more than welcome, along with any other treats she had to offer.
The day before, Erin had made two successful loaves of Barnbrack cake. More proof she was her mother's daughter and not her fathers...Probably one of the many blessings of never having the bastard around...
The loaf that her and Conner had picked at was still mostly whole, and they didnt bother touching the other one.
Erin just grabbed the untouched loaf without much thought and left for Wilm's. Leaving the other for Rory and Lili-if she ever came over.
Wasnt long until she was on Wilm's doorstep, then let inside to cut up a few slices for the boys.
The only problem, Erin had accidentally forgot to mention the special prizes inside the cake that made it apart of the Halloween tradition...
