Gianlorenzo Bernini.
Francesco Borromini.
Who really transformed Rome. The 17th Century was really the time were the modern Rome we see today was transformed. After reading much on the subject. Well cause Jerry got me a book and it would be rude not to read it. I am unsure. If anyone has an opinion on the subject pealse post!
Well if it really matters I would say Bernini is a better bet on the man that started the Baroque era. But it definatly was one of these two WOP's. Any other choice for prime artist during the Baroque era would to my mind equate with a lack of understanding of the subject.
