01. Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I wrote so much more than expected, I mean wow 6 fic exchanges. I guess the thing is though that I had and still have, a lot of expectations on my writing. It was only in 2014 that I started to write and publish so for the first year I guess it was okay. However I think I could have written more.
02. What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
I never would have thought that I would be that into Sehun/Suho let alone have fondness on the same level as Kyungsoo/Jongin fics. I guess I was surprised at how much I found writing sexing so natural and taohun so great.
I NEVER KNEW I WOULD WRITE SO MUCH SEHUN, FULL STOP.
03. What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
My favourite must be Like a boomerang. Vampire kaisoo finally happened and I really like the whole childling concept. Also, this might be the most satisfied I was for all the fic exchanges I entered. The word count is only 2k but the scenes just feel so full (?).
Also, the drabbles I’ve written make me even more happy. Since the word count is smaller, I focused more on the point I wanted to get across from them. My favourite is Wobbling for some reason. Might be because it involved a mental disorder and I’ve always wanted to try it out ever since I started reading fanfics. (It was written p lightly tho)
04. Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
1) I took a risk in publishing the things I wrote in the first place but now I just,,,,don’t mind as much if they suck. At least I wrote something. I learned that even if they might not reach the expected standard, it’s better to just write and you can add in further details to enhance the ideas.
2) Trying to world build when writing Gone like the Wind. It was my first time to attempting creating a fantasy world of my own. It was also the other characters involved which I wanted to help showcase their relations with Sehun and Suho’s. It’s 7k which is okay but considering the number of events that happened, I think it may have been better to expand on different parts of the journey to Sehun.
05. Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
1) Choose the fic exchanges to enter /wisely/. Yes it is good to get the writing out there with fellow shippers etc, but to write more of what I want I guess I need to only enter fic exchanges I know I can give quality fics to. Also studies, oh yes studies to focus on.
2) SHUT UP AND WRITE AND JUST MAKE IT A STORY TO BE PROUD OF. WITH A GOOD ENDING LINE ESP.
06. From my past year of writing, what was...
My Best Story:
Synchronisation 100% - I worked hard (compared to my other fics) on this one. I like the lines and it’s such an ideal relationship.
My most popular story of this year:
My doll ?????? I don’t think any of mine are popular but aff readers dig the incest.
Story Most Underappreciated By The Universe:
Like a boomerang - I love this fic so much and you should too.
Most Fun:
Toys are for boys and Kiss (x2) - Fluffy boys wanting affection yes.
Most Disappointing:
aka nearly everything I wrote in 2014.
On the top of list might be My doll. From the amount of fics I’ve read, I know that I can write better than this.It wasn’t the prompt, it was just how I wrote it ugh.
Most Sexy:
Like a boomerang - read it and tell me it’s not sexy. The sex wasn’t the sexy part though, it wAS THE WALL SCENE. The sex was just fluffy reuniting.
Hardest To Write:
The fic I wrote for the fortexo exchange. I like descriptions and things, but angst is a whole nother level for me.
Most Unintentionally Telling:
The fic I wrote for the fortexo exchange. Although it wasn’t as detailed as planned, it reveals things similar to my home life.
Most "holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
I was wrong about you - that was just…. The cut is “You are the perfect cum gobbler.” I am,,,,, okay alright goodbye I almost forgot that this existed and I wish I didn’t remember.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
Synchronisation 100% probably shifted my view of Kyungsoo the most. The way I wrote Kyungsoo’s character started to become more chill than I wanted to write and what is currently in my head, but cool as !Kyungsoo! The story just helped solidify my thoughts.
(I don’t know why so many don’t give him the lead in kaisoo or other pairings, I don’t ??? look at puppy jongin now look at Kyungsoo, know look at sleep puppy now look at Kyungsoo. World leader soo.)
Biggest surprise:
I wrote fics!! I entered 6 fic exchanges!!! I did the thing and wrote things for friends!! Also how much I enjoy writing the descriptions for angst.
Choice Lines:
The bruises scattered down the white expanse of Suho’s neck which Sehun admired daily. Seeing those only emitted an animal like sound at the back of his throat. Purple and blue hues mixed as if they were painted on vicious blows on the canvas of Suho’s body.
(This cancels out the hurt)
No matter how much he tries to cut the ties away from each other and be the friend he is supposed to be, there is always something about Kyungsoo knotted deeply at the back of his head.
