Back in business!
Well! I am updating this here journal thing from Chris's and my BRANDY NEW APARTMENT. Despite being chock full o' boxes, it is pretty rad.
We just got internet, cable, and a phone line installed, and I replaced our crappy drooling shower head with a sparkly new one from Home Depot. The bedroom has been handsomely outfitted with an air conditioner (it gets hot up in this bitch) and a tv and dvd player, because THAT IS HOW I ROLL. The living room is the boxiest room of all, with most of our crap hanging out in there, but it still manages to be pretty comfortable. And AND Chris's office also serves as a guest room WITH A FUTON so we can accommodate wandering vagrants! I think I might set up the waffle iron in there, so guests can make hot waffles as they please.
The only thing I'm worried about is the couch we ordered. It's coming in like three weeks or so, but the hallways are ultra-narrow and did I mention it's a fourth floor walk-up? I am trying to prepare myself for heartbreak just in case they can't wedge the thing all the way up the stairs. It is a rovery couch.
I am about to cook some steak quesadillas for Chris and David, who had to move all of David's stuff and like a third of our stuff from the old apartment. None of us have eaten all day :(
I can't wait to get the place set up properly, and then maybe YOU (that's right, YOU!) will be able to come and visit and eat some yum-yums and watch a movie in comfort and style!
