I decided several years ago that shame and guilt are worthless for the person experiencing them, but very handy for whoever wants to manipulate the person using those emotions. I can't say I never experience them, but I fight them off as much as possible because they are not ever helpful to me, and I have coached others on the same thing ( ... )

You know those dreams where you look down and realize you're naked/underdressed? I have dreams where I suddenly realize "oh, shit, I don't have my cane!" and I anticipate the pain that trying to walk for any distance without it causes. My subconscious remembers what I need.

Yep, I dream I didn't bring my chair to school. Never mind I couldn't have gotten there without the chair, somehow I'm there without it. And why I dream of high school when I'm nearly 50 baffles me.
