Train wrecks, or any kind of wrecks, literal or figurative can have a creepy factor that we are drawn to watch.
I feel like that about Korean driving. The lack of turning signals, the running of red lights - in front of schools where students are trying to cross no less! The blocking of intersections, the park wherever you fit philosophy.... Having a car here really does make you insane.
I take a short walk (just long enough for me to get soaked in this weather) and I've seen enough to fill up a notebook of infractions. And it's not just that these things are illegal in Canada but legal here - no, I'm aware many intersections have special u-turn signals etc, but running a red light is still illegal wherever you are.
I'm ashamed to say it puts me in a bad mood for the morning. I can only grit my teeth, brace myself for possible impact and yell at the odd driver that tries to push through an intersection when I'm crossing.
If I die here, it's gonna either be from all the kimchi in my body spontaneously combusting or a traffic accident.
