We left town pretty immediately after work today. Everything was packed and ready to go.
Drove to Sandusky, where my parents live, listening to different Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett podcasts the whole way. (I'm pumped by these podcasts, so amazing!)
The last one we heard was "The Divine Faith of Rumi." (Before that, "The New Evangelical")
But with quotes like these? Who COULDN'T be jazzed
"Time is limited...And the abundant water is flowing away...Drink, before you fall to pieces."
And my favorite, based on the idea that where there is love...THAT is when you are closest to the Divine, whoever that is to you.
"Wherever you are, whatever you do, be in love."
Anyway, the point of this post: we've been at my parents' house for all of 30 minutes and
I've caught a cold*
and Sophie's caught a mouse**
Nice, eh?? I have to go now, Sophie is licking the couch and just won't stop.
* rather, I've officially become stuffed up and started sneezing
** the mouse, by the way, wasn't in the house. It was on the sun porch, leading out to the pool.
