I know we needed the rain but I am thrilled that it is sunny outside. I thought we were due for more of the same 'ol drizzle of the past few days.
chutzpah722 and I have been planning on taking to the outdoors this weekend for some exploring. Kennesaw Mountain, Historic Buford or Duluth, Dalonegha, something like that. Yay! It looks like we have a great day

Ah, the beer! It is going well. First two were pretty good (American Pale Ale and a Hefeweizen). The third one is a Newcastle Brown Ale clone that has another week or so left before it has fully carbonated. From early tastings it will be a good beer. We'll have to taste it along side of some real Newcastle to see how close ours is to the original! Our fourth batch is sitting in secondary fermentation, clearing out and conditioning before we bottle it. It is our version of Sweetwater 420, but a bit lower in alcohol and lighter in body than we were going for. Still, we think it will be decent, if light.
This week we are looking at what our next brew will be. We are inclined to try something higher in gravity and more suitable for drinking in colder weather. Not sure what yet. Gotta taste a few to see what we want to make!
