Some progress

I think I am closer on the rental car for Providence. The bugger has been figuring out transportation between Boston and Providence. Should be simple, right? Taking the MBTA commuter train (the "T") was my first choice, but it doesn't run in RI on the weekends, so getting back on Sunday would be interesting. Then there's Bonanza Bus, but getting tickets mailed in time for our trip might be dicey, and a ride is not guaranteed; you have to show up 30 minutes early for the bus. So until I know how we're getting to/from Providence, it is hard for me to know which rental car office to book from. And I am relying on the internet for maps.

However, I now know our flight itinerary. I'm leaning toward taking the "T" from Boston to Providence on Friday and the Bonanza Bus back. That way we can buy the bus tickets at the terminal and not have to worry about them reaching us in time.

Yikes! I just looked at the train schedule and there's probably only one departure time that would work on Friday: 12:05 PM, getting to Prov. at 1:10 PM. Greaaat. Looks like we may have to chance buying Bonanza Bus tickets that day in Boston. Hmm....
