Well rats. First my daughter is bummed she can't get into Frolicon and now a 21 and over drawing event!

Oh well - someday I guess she'll finally be as old as she thinks she is.

(she's really starting to get into drawing now...spent last weekend doing sketches in the hallway at MoMoCon)

At least D*C is only 6 months away.

MoMoCon is a free Anime-focused Con put on by the Georgia Tech student association. They hold it in the student center and is mostly group activities, a vendor room and video-watching through the night (since there's no money for guest panels).

She went down with a couple of friends and had a lot of fun. This was a lot less hectic and a lot smaller than the other Cons that she's attended (except maybe the one in Oxford, AL).

I like it because it gives her a chance to hang out with Tech students and see what life on campus is like there - eating at the cafeteria and stuff.

At a lot of the Anime Cons, she does little sketches and sells them for a couple of bucks to get money to buy posters and stuff. I think it's a good idea since, for one thing, if she plans to make a carreer out of art it's very important to understand what people actually want to buy.

Oh, I so want to do this! I need to invent that laptop teleportation device I dreamed about so I can beam myself to Atlanta.

That sounds pretty damn intriguing - I'd love to do the one in May.
