BACKGROUND: Kaito grew up in Japan. While he was still young, his parents both died in a car crash. Both he and his little brother Akito were devastated by this. The one responsible for the car crash was never caught. The boys were both taken in and raised by a friend of the family.
Kaito first noticed his mutant ability when he was still in High School. One day after school, he fell down a flight of stairs after being shoved by one of his friends. When he got up, he didn’t have a bruise or anything on him. He was completely fine, but he felt that something had built up inside of him.
When he got home, he accidentally shoved the door off of it’s hinges. And that was his first encounter with his powers.
Once he finished High School, he went to college to study Criminal Law and graduated with high marks. It was his intention to join the Police Force when he finished, but he suddenly got recruited by a special division of Interpol. Apparently they knew about his abilities and thought he would make a good addition to the team after some training of course. However, Kaito never met the man that they were actually working for.
For the next several years, Kaito worked with this group and quickly became the leader of the entire squad. They closed many cases under his leadership until one day a botched assignment got one of his teammates and several civilians killed.
In 2003, Kaito team was on a mission to capture a mutant terrorist that had been stirring up trouble. Information on his teams location was leaked and they found themselves in an ambush. Kaito’s car was hit by a rocket and the rest of his team was captured. Kaito was left behind because the terrorist thought he was dead.
While tracking down the terrorist, he ran into a group that called themselves the X-Men. The mutant terrorists had been causing them trouble. That was what lead to them being there. Kaito allied himself with this group in order to get his team back.
Kaito managed to save his team, but at the cost of the terrorist getting away. The X-Men pursued him, but Kaito decided that not letting his injured teammates die was more important than capturing him, so he returned to base. This failure caused Kaito to lose his job, as he was blamed for the failure of this mission.
Having liked working with the X-Men, Kaito went to them and asked to be apart of their group. He stayed with the X-Men until they disbanded. When they did, his former employer contacted him about returning to the team. Kaito turned them down and returned to Japan to join the police force.
In 2009 when he received word that the School had been reopened, he decided to return, finding his life in Japan to be dull. And it didn't hurt that he also enjoyed being around his own kind.
PERSONALITY: Kaito is a former Interpol agent. He was in charge of a special division of Interpol and he lead his team well. Kaito hates dealing with bureaucracy and red tape which made that group all the more perfect for him. While working for Interpol he could be violent and sadistic against the particularly dangerous offenders. However, he could show a considerate amount of restraint against those less dangerous offenders, such as people that only committed white collar crimes and such.
Kaito has learned to survive on beer, instant noodles and cigarettes as his work kept him always on the move. However, when he had a home cooked meal he absolutely loved it. He is not afraid of letting his opinion be heard even if it is in the most vulgar way that he can express it. He can be manipulative and intimidating but usually he does so only to get what he wants.
His drive and confidence is what made him a good agent. Deep down he only really went into this kind of work in hopes of catching the man that was responsible for his parent’s murder, but he lost this goal as the years went on.
He is domineering and expects those under his charge to follow his words without hesitation. Loyalty is also something he expects from anyone that he works with. As long as they show him loyalty, he will show them loyalty. He has an extreme hate for criminals. Especially the violent ones that hurt people.
He hates that they think they could hurt someone and just get away with it without any consequences. This is why he generally shows them no mercy. However, he doesn’t kill. Or he doesn’t when there is another option. He would rather let the justice system deal out a punishment to them rather than having them get off easy.
APPEARANCE: Kaito is pretty thin. He weights about 145 pounds and he stands at about 6'4". His hair is a pale blue sort of color and it is also long and seemingly well kept. It goes down to about his mid to lower back. His eyes are blue as well, but they are more of an icy blue sort of color.
POWERS: Kaito has a field around him that absorbs the inertia of any object that comes in contact with the field. The energy absorbed from the object is stored within him. He can actually extend his field of absorption 30ft around himself. Possible more if he concentrated, but it would take all of his concentration to do so. With his field extended to the 30ft range, he can absorb the inertia of an object and cause it to stop completely until he drops the field.
The energy absorbed can then be channeled into himself, an object or another person to increase his speed and strength. This energy can also be used to heal himself and others by speeding up the healing process.
