Slept Through
I got a huge gift last night. Eric slept through the night. :)
I woke up about fifteen minutes before my alarm went off, saw the sun peaking through the windows, looked at the clock, and tried to remember. Sure enough - that was the first time I was up since my head hit my pillow last night.
My first thought was "Is he okay?" so I went into his room to check. He was just fine.
About two/three weeks back we went through a pattern change. Nursing three times a night evolved into one cuddle and one nursing (two awakenings). I started to wonder if I was the culprit for not having him sleep through the night so I purposefully did not go to him quickly when he started crying. I really listened to see if it was a turning over/getting comfortable cry or I'm hungry/I'm upset cry and obviously went in when it was the latter.
One possibility for this happening was that he got lots of regular table food yesterday. He ate what most of the other kids did for breakfast, am snack, and lunch. His only "baby" food was pm snack. And for dinner, he had three meatballs and some finger foods.
We'll see if this continues. I'm crossing my fingers because if it can happen by the time we travel for Memorial Day, our nights as a family in one room will be that much better.
