fave new shows

So, how was I unaware of how friggin cool "True Blood" on HBO was?  I caught the fourth episode last night in my hotel room and loved the concept and execution of it... plus, its set in Louisiana which is always fun.  "Fringe" is also a disgustingly funny/gross hours worth of fun.  Thank god for my easynews so that I can download and catch up with ( Read more... )

I still want to find one of those old fashioned stereo cabinet things with a turntable and an am/fm radio. I need to research and find out exactly what they are called.

we wanted to find one of those about two years ago, and after finding lots that were too mod or too froufy or just too whatever, we found one with red velvet curtain panels on the sides, and in the middle of the front.
complete with a working turntable and 8track player. i think we paid $75 for it, including having it delivered.
i'm glad i'm not the only one who still loves those things :D

Nice! The few I've found have been in the $200 range, but I haven't started digging that deeply, either. I would love to find one for $75 that works!

retro groovy stuff will always have followers and lovers. My son will, in about 20 years, be pining over a 'classic' Xbox and games while my daughter will be looking craig'ssonslist for vintage 4 gig ipods.
