Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
5'10. Muscular but lean. We can't tell in-game too much since he wears like 3 layers of clothing but we can assume.

2. How old is he?
Technically 3 weeks old at the end of the game. His host body is 29.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Walks around like he's ready to punch someone. He stands up straight but usually keeps his head kinda lowered so he can hide his face or look more intimidating or... something

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Fit. Infected with the Blacklight virus and/or is the virus itself. No disabilities.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Alex runs around and parkours like a fool and he looks pretty badass doing it. I wouldn't say it's "graceful" but it's fast, intense, mostly fluid and breaks everything he steps on.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
I guess he's conventionally attractive, despite his kinda sickly-looking skin tone and the redness around his eyes and those random infection marks. He doesn't care what he looks like, though.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Really pale.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Looks brown in pictures. Looks black in-game and on the final concept art. So I guess it's just really dark brown. It's cut short-ish and has a tiny bit of curl.

9. What color are his eyes?
Bright blue.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He mad. Always.

11. What are his chief tension centers?
Alex can withstand a lot of physical pain, getting blown up by high explosives many many times. But probably his head. Apparently certain words can trigger seizures.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
permahoodie

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
They seem to fit fine. And he wears like nothing else, considering his clothes are basically a viral construct.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Yes.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Prolly boxers since they're more comfortable

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Typical gruff throaty hardcore voice.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He speaks like he's saying something really important and serious all the time. Lots of inflection and pauses for effect. Usually pretty confident when talking unless facing some new situation where he's completely out of his element and doesn't know what to say.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
He sounds kind of like he has mild Canadian accent

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
English. He probably knows others from the people he consumed but hasn't spoke them.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Depends.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Pretty eloquent when he wants to be but he's more concerned with getting to the point.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
The actual Alex Mercer was ridiculously smart, except he was also kind of retarded since he set a virus loose on Manhattan. The virus is intelligent, sure, but more in a survival way than hurr durr big words way.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
On his feet, unless he's trying to pull a Snake and be stealthy.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Logical and practical. no fun here

4. What kind of education has the character had?
welp
Alex Mercer - the actual one, not the virus - apparently was fucking smart because he got hired as a scientist at Gentek to work on developing some stupid infection. Anyway I'm assuming he at least graduated high school and probably... idk interned somewhere, or maybe somehow he got enough money to throw himself through college, because his mom sure as hell wouldn't help with that.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
He's an expert at not dying. He is interested in learning how to not die some more.
Also life and stuff.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Introvert, definitely. He's not shy, moreso suspicious of people.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Yeah he has bouts of rage. He's not cheerful nor melancholy, but pessimistic mostly. Very driven. By selfish vengeance.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Suspicious and paranoid and probably a little angry.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Act.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
FIGHT unless he's really beat-up in which case he will get the hell out of Dodge

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
what humor
Okay actually I think he'd get "mildly amused" by certain things relating to morbid shit like how to kill something, but he's mostly not into the whole... laughing thing...

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
The original Alex was supposed to be a sociopath. He dealt with this by not giving a shit. I think virus-Alex would definitely classify as paranoid, but that's kind of understandable once you realize the clusterfuck he came from.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Saving yet FUCKING DESTROYING Manhattan maybe

14. What does he fear?
Syringes! (fuck you Cross)
Also he hates and fears (I guess) the military because they're douchebags, especially anything resembling D-Code Soldiers. Because those guys are the worst things.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
As long as he makes it to the next day of his life he's pretty chill.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He doesn't like to tell people he's a virus due to getting a strike team shooting at his ass everytime he raised suspicion back home.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Terrible, both in biological-Alex's-mother and creepy-viral-mother ways.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Sister. Not really "his" sister but the orig Alex's. He cared about her a lot since he retained the original Alex's feelings.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
None we know of.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
No.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
None really. In canon eventually he comes to view Cross as an ally, because he does some fucking awesome stuff, but I don't know if he'd ever consider anyone a "best friend". Oh, and they met because Cross was on a mission to kill Alex and almost did.

6. Does he have other close friends?
lol no

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
The latter.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Family? I guess?

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
He had a girlfriend. Had.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
lmfao

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
he doesn't know what he wants

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
Maybe virusbabies crawling around in New York somewhere.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
The world. Basically.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Sex is something unfamiliar to him, though it runs rampant in his memories. If he ever started developing those sorts of feelings I don't think male or female would matter to him. Technically, he is neither male nor female (as a virus) and he doesn't have any standards of attraction apart from "hey this person is being really nice to me and not trying to secretly kill me!"

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Again, unfamiliar. He's used to having to be on alert and fight for his life constantly, not having to interact with people in that way. But I figure he wouldn't be completely clueless since he has so many memories, just... awkward. Probably wouldn't make a habit out of it, but who knows.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
TURN-ONS: YOU'RE NOT A CROOKED FUCKER HIDING A SYRINGE BEHIND YOUR BACK
TURN-OFFS: YOU ARE

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
No idea.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Not at all.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
He tries not to kill people or eat them without reason. He's extremely against human/animal/any living thing experimentation or shit like that, on account of his own experiences. Nothing will compromise that.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Depends. Mostly intolerant or indifferent. He'd be curious about a select few topics though.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He hates scientists, he hates military personnel.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Middle-class?

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
See above

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He had an apartment but it got blown up.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
I don't think he cares about buying anything apart from what's absolutely necessary.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
In-game, the scientist Alex is dead; viral-Alex spends all his time trying to survive.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Survival!

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He eats people. Also monsters. Not through his mouth, he has these tentacle things that pop out and somehow push the victim into his body so he can "consume" it. How the hell this actually works I have no idea, I'm assuming the viral mass disintegrates the body and just absorbs it immediately, and distributes the nutrients/life force through his bloodstream? idfk
