I call the American league the Pussy Pitcher League.
I grew up in St. Louis. While I generally despise sports, I'm still stuck with a few of the beliefs of my religious upbringing. One of those beliefs is that pitchers should bat just like everybody else.

Well, I don't really have much of a beef with the DH thing and have never really heard a coherent argument from anyone on why it is a bad thing. George Will broke it down pretty good in his book "Men at Work" and I think he, like me, came to the conclusion that using the whole DH argument is really a wash---there's good and bad on both sides. The only problem I have is that I'd like to see both leagues do the same thing, and I don't care if they go with the DH or not. I don't think I have a preference

While we may agree on religion in general, we won't agree on this particular one. No special rights for pitchers! Also, Bob Gibson.
I was back in St. Louis in May, and caught a Cardinals game. We had spectacular seats, and the Redbirds scored eight runs, all of them on homers, including a bottom-of-the-first grand slam.

I was back in St. Louis in May, and caught a Cardinals game. We had spectacular seats, and the Redbirds scored eight runs, all of them on homers, including a bottom-of-the-first grand slam.
