Well, due to extreme boredom that totally contradicts my post from earlier today, I've had some time to work on my Australia pics, and lo-and-behold, I've actually finished them!
Now for the mega-photo-post from hell... part one:
The start of my trip up to the AQWA visit

- We all think Don should be a model
- Tubing is the way to go! It is the shit, but make sure you go wiht a trustworthy driver... it can be really terrifying with a reckless person at the helm
- Perth Zoo is FANTASTIC! They are all about preservation, rehabilitation and protection. I don't know how many little boxes I put money in while there to help toward some endangerd species. I didn't feel like the animals were unhappy or being mistreated, and everyone was really well informed that we spoke to.
- No Dingo buffets unfortunately, but we did see the location at Ayers Rock where the incidednt apparently went down (and hahahahhaaa, did you see Lost the other week where they went to see that healer dude at Uluru... so fucking lame. We couldn't stop laughing trying to figure out where those barns and houses must have been hiding while we were there)
The Orangutan was so amazing. I didn't want to leave him... he did look a bit sad though, but I think they all have eyes like that. So Planet Of The Apes. We watched this other one drag an old tire up this 20 foot perch thing, sit in it at the top, and put a burlap bag over his head. So bloody cute. and There was this other old guy that had diabites who needed shots twice a day... I could go on about them forever....
- I took the Tiger one, my ma too the Rhinos (she has a better zoom)
- Freeo is a beautiful city. If I wanted to live in Perth, that's the place I would want to live
- I want a pet coral
- Don is uber claustrophobic, and he had no trouble in the underwater tunnel... it looks worse in pictures, but really it is quite airy, and you can always see the end of the tunnel... so frigging neAT!
