Norway
I cried reading the news today, and then cried a lot on the phone with my mom, afterwards, talking to her about it. I saw that there had been shootings on top of the bombings I’d heard about yesterday in Norway, so I read the article. I literally just couldn’t even believe what I was reading. I’m not going to go into the gory details here, because I don’t want to traumatize anyone, but it was probably one of the most atrocious things I’ve ever read about. And to think that it happened yesterday. Just some kids hanging out at camp. 80-something shooting deaths.
I don’t understand how anyone can hate so much. And I think it’s a sick irony that it’s some hardcore Christian uber-conservative white dude. Who hated Muslims and multiculturalism. When are people going to let go of their fears and learn to live with people that are different? People are people, period.
Won’t be forgetting about this anytime soon. Sending all my love out to the family and friends of the survivors.
