BENIGN!!!!
Patchouli went in for surgery last week to have 2 small masses removed. From external examination, the vet judged them to be no real cause for concern, but wanted them out just in case, since Patch has a history of suspicious masses. When I picked up Patch from surgery I was very worried to find that the vet "definitely" recommended a biopsy on one of the two masses.
Patch has been doing MUCH MUCH better with the aftermath of this surgery than the last; she hasn't picked at her stitches at all, so she hasn't had to wear the Elizabethan collar. Which is good, because one of the sutures is located such that the collar would probably do as much damage as Patch could. She's been wonderful and I've been worried.
I just got the results: bullet dodged again! Yeah, I know, that which does not kill her merely postpones the inevitable. BUT I'LL TAKE IT!!! Wheee!!!! What a fine word "benign" is.
