Half an hour on the stationary bike (fairly low tension) & my knees are very mad at me. Going down stairs hurts! If I hope to ride outdoors at all when the weather gets nice, I'd better not waste anymore of whatever karma I have left in my knees on the stationary bike.
Which leaves the Nordic track. Which I hate, but will do when necessary. Unfortunately, biking is good for ankles & bad for knees, but Nordic is good for knees & bad for ankles. And I've had weak injury-prone ankles and severely pronated feet all my life. I tried running years ago & had to quit for fear of crippling myself. And right now my left ankle is particularly vulnerable thanks to the DDR twist of a few weeks ago. A mis-step at the Kennedy Center last night came damn close to re-twisting it. It's twinging now.
I really hope I don't become one of those broken down middle aged women who can't exercise except in a pool. I hate water, except hot showers. I hate being cold and wet and blind.
OK, that was entertaining, wasn't it? Whine whine. I do have Chieftains music going through my head, though, so that's nice. I guess I'll go get a nice hot shower & try to keep from jigging while I'm in there. Sleep well, all.
