I am listening to an oldie song..."Just a Friend" by Biz Markie... I don't think he goes by Biz Markie now...whoever he is..I love the song cause it makes me laugh as the story is funny and it is so badly sung... what is wrong with me...Why do I enjoy listening to people who sing badly.... I mean that is the only part of American Idol I watch now...to see people sing absouletly...I crack up everytime...
Speaking of which...this past week we went to Boston Pizza, and they had in the bar area Karakoe...and man oh man...really bad singers..I couldnt help crack up...these people were wondering what the hell I was laughing at.. Oh and we can't go back to that boston pizza ever again either.. As I am sure we are on the waitresses hit list... And why?? Well considering she only got a 60 cent tip, I can't imagine she would be too pleased to see us again. And Why did she get a 60 cent tip?? Well because she gave us the worst service in the world... She seemed to think that serving her friends and gabbing with them most of the night was more important then waiting on actual customers. Had the place actually been busy and she was being stretched too thin, then I would have understood about not getting any service...but to wait close to 45 minutes for a small pizza and chicken fingers in a nearly dead restaraunt, only get two pop refills and then wait 20 minutes for a dessert and then another 15 minutes for the bill is not great service...
I wonder, is it more of an insult to leave 60 cent tip or to leave no tip at all.. I tend to think it is a greater insult to leave a 60 cent tip as it shows them that I am willing to leave a tip and that it reflects on what I thought of the service..where is if I leave nothing they have a chance to think ...oh heck..he just forgot to leave me something...
Work went well this week. Although last weekend I was not able to avoid getting the flu that was going around work. I hate being sick. I had to call in sick monday. It was funny in a way cause Shannon my boss had to cover preflight which she didnt like very much as I do a ton of stuff that nobody really knows how to do accept me. Heh.
Apparently she was looking for something to write with and opened up my drawer and found my bag of mini-rolos...
From what Ron said it went down like this....
Mutter mutter mutter.....hell..where is the sharpie marker....rustle rustle....mutter.... OOoOOoOo Chocolate....
munch munch munch...
At any rate she had some of my chocolate...And Mike came around the corner and said.."Hey, is that your chocolate?" She said..."I deserver some of Ryan's chocolate as it calms me as I try and do his job"...
The next day when I came in (which I shouldn't have) Shannon came to check on me and asked me how I was doing...I replied with a ....Uhhhheerrg.... and she said... "Well as punsihment for yesterday, I ate half of your rolos..." and then she smiled and left... I of course looked and discovered that she didn't eat half but she defentily had a few...
Later Shannon was expecting a rush order and she came right down to my desk and she said...I NEED CHOCOLATE! and went right behind me to my drawer and started routing into the rolos... I laughed and said... "Geez Shannon, I am so glad that my hard earned money is going to feed my bosses chocolate cravings" She laughed and said that she was a chocoholic and that she cannot control herself...

So an evening has gone by and It is now next morning... And I am awake wishing that our new house was built and we were living in it. Carly asked me when we were waking up.."Did you hear the gun shots during the night?" I was like.....Um...no... (i sleep like the dead) and she said.."Ya, around 2 am there were some gunshots" I will be so glad to leave this area... I thought it was a nice area when we first moved in...but I am starting to notice that it really isn't... I think our street is the only nice looking and well maintained one... I never seen so many bums in all my life and I worry that they will attempt mugging us at some point... I will be so glad when we are not living so close to downtown...
Last night Carly and I bought a nice little patio table so we could drink and eat outside on the deck and play games...played some yatzee and some uno....It was a fun time.. :-)
In 2 weeks one of Carly's friends is coming home from Australia...Carly hasn't seen her in ages... (long story) At any rate they have re-newed a good friendship through email and I guess we are having a bbq for her and some of Carlys high school friends and her brother... I am looking forward to it. :-)
Anyway..I am hungry and it is nice out...I am going to get my butt in gear...
