Carly and I are buying a house...
For two weekends in a row we went looking at some showhomes and the first week found one that was just perfect for us..And the price was just right...
On April 9 or 10 we go for the Lot Draw...And we put a deposit down on the lot... This is weighing very heavily on Carly. It feels very real for her, where it is not for me, yet. I am sure when we sign the papers and we are actually locked in to building I am going to feel it like a punch too the gut.
Carly has worked it out and a mortgage payment for us is going to be just a little more then what we pay rent now. And our bills will be probably less as we won't have a person living downstairs eating up electricity and water and having her frigging family coming in to live with her including her boyfriend... <-- Grouchy about that..they woke me up this morning making a bunch of racket...
I am so impressed with Carly's parents. They are very supportive and very knowledable about this sort of thing. Carly & her Mom both have there Realtor licences so they know what they are talking about when it comes to houses. Not too mention because Carly has this, they were able to knock off 5000 bucks off the cost. WOWSA!.
The name of the design we have gotten is called The Harvard II. I nicknamed it "The Harvarti". It made everybody laugh. Dennis (Carly's dad) mentioned it to the sales guy and said that I came up with the name. He laughed and sarcasticly Thanked me for that.... Later on he accidently called it the Harvarti and he said.."Oh hell, that is going to happen to me the rest of the day..."
Carly said that at some point she will be on the verge of tears due to the stress. Understandable, I am sure I will be too.. Freaking, we will have a mortgage. eek.
Anyway, I gotta get going. Got piles and piles of laundry to do and not enough time to do them.
