We got an e-mail from the Cultural Studies lecturer detailing what we have to prepare for next week's seminar. If you can believe this,
Now, Feed a Foo Pet and play with “a Foo Pet!” Then, consider the implications of its existence. Alternatively, (if you have the time or the inclination) then adopt Pokey and let him starve/never play with him and consider the implications of this too.
(why is 'foo pet' in speech marks the second time but not the first ( '-')?)
And they're actually going to give me a degree at the end of this O.O well... not at the end of the Foo Pet incident but still..
EDIT: Just read a quote from Clifford Geertz which restores my faith in this subject,
