is it funny to anyone else besides me that the banner over xanga on the Fundacion computer reads "green card aqui!" ... makes me laugh every time
i am SO tired. i got a total of 12 hours of sleep the past 4 days. ouch. and a sinus infection. more ouch.
great food. pretty buildings/castles/monuments/suspension bridge/etc. Lisbon was really neat. also really humid. one night i actually made it to a club with a group of girls. we shook what our mammas gave us until 4:30am and it was RAD....easy to begin overcoming a life long fear of dancing when almost everyone around you is drunk or foreign and you are simply caffeinated... (although the crowd of ominous, sketchy portuguese men surrounding us was not so rad. nor was one of the girls puking out the side of a crowded taxi the entire way home. those stories another day. maybe)
it is good to finally get close to strangers that you are with in a foreign country. it is also good to learn who is like minded and who you can or cannot trust and/or take their words at face value.
jill and allie: ( in response to your post, i agree, God is indeed awesomely faithful), yall would have been proud, i did not put my sensaes to shame lets have a dance party again!
there is snow all over the iberian penninsula. and typing in gloves can be tricky... but i have discovered the joy of wearing 5 layers and the world is a happy place again.
i am loving what God is teaching me here about how to care for people in stead of only caring what they think. my head is a mess, he is doing a lot of rearranging. a good mess though. well, getting there...
