Serenity will not be opening in theatres in Israel this month. Or any month. I'm very sad. Though I've seen it twice, so hey. Good for me, bad for other people.
On the Silver Line side, here's what
Joss wrote us: "I just wanted to say that I've gotten packets of letters and artwork and collages and just huge, lovely feedback from the Israeli fans and so this news gives me a sadness. If any of you guys are reading this, I just wanna say, uh... find a friend with a big TV. And sorry. I'm not the boss of this. -joss."
Joss is referring to the "Thank You Joss Project", where we all send him nifty stuff to show our appreciation. It was very exciting to know he knows and cares.
One of the things I wanted to accomplish with that project, is to make sure Joss & co. know we exist here in Israel, and we want stuff. Wanted to make sure we get the movie. So now we won't get it anyway, but at least Joss know we exist now. And they tell us the DVD will be released very soon.
So, as Xander would say: "Yey?"
In other news, hi everyone. It's been a while. I've been busy and lazy. I've done much work-stuff, and even much-er fandom-stuff, and you won't get to hear anything about them, because of that lazy part I was telling you about. Now I'm back to school (grr... arg...) so definitely less time to play (not that I was over here playing when I did have time... you know what I mean).
I should mention that I got an amazingly surprising and wonderful
evilshelly postcard from Vegas! I was so pleased I was grinning like mad. Seriously, people were keeping their distance.
And to everyone who wondered where I disappeared to and came looking for me - thank you, guys :)
