I've made an executive decision

Ok. First of all, I want to apologize to the HUNDREDS of you who are absolutely wonderful amazing community members. You shouldn't have to listen to this. But here it is anyway.

A handful of you are INCREDIBLY rude. If you really think my community and polls are "ridiculous and retarded" (That is an exact quote from a comment), especially when I post my thoughts on the matter in the original post, so you are not adding any new information... you have a few options, the way I see it.

1)leave the community. No one is keeping you here if you don't enjoy it.
2) Make some suggestions in the suggestion thread that you don't think suck.
3) Offer to help me out - right now, I'm the only mod of this community, and since I'm working on my PhD and trying to earn a living while going to grad school, posting polls on Tuesdays is NOT the most important thing on my mind. I do this as a way to have fun - and don't appreciate being complained at, please and thanks. Often, I see on my calendar that it's Tuesday, but I'm too busy meeting deadlines, attending meetings and classes and doing work to sit down, so at the last minute I scan the suggestions thread for things that don't suck too much and just post. Or, in the case of earlier, it's an ELIMINATION round. So I just took the winners from the last three polls and... poof! But if you plan this option, don't be rude. I'm not going to accept rude/mean people as moderators.

Please, if you have a complaint about the community or the polls, please try to phrase it in a constructive fashion. Otherwise, it's very difficult for me to take a deep breath and respond politely rather than just reply with lots of profanity and ban you from the community. So far, I've been mature enough not to do that, and I wish I could get the same respect in return.

But as I said, it's a very small minority, but I get 1-2 of these comments EVERY WEEK. And this week, I even SAID in the post that I did not like the poll and thought it was a silly no-brainer poll. But I posted it, because... it's the elimination round and that's how it works.

Ok, so now that is out of my system, here's the plan. You may have noticed I deleted the poll I posted earlier this evening. I decided, after the NICE comments who proposed ideas and suggestions, to do the following.

1) repost the poll without the death option. Here it is:

Year 2 - Elimination Round 3
Falling asleep before you finish your [project, report, etc] and taking the horrible grade - 333 (88.6%)
Friends-only journals you can't read - 43 (11.4%)

2) I will not post any more "death" polls this year (along with no more "for the rest of your life" polls, mentioned in an earlier poll due to similar circumstances).

3) Year 3 will consist ENTIRELY of death polls. In year 3, we will determine the worst way to die. So please, fill up the suggestion thread with horrible ways to die so we'll have plenty of polls prepared for next year!

Thanks, and sorry to the hundreds of you who are awesome and would have dealt with this either way. I apologize that you have to have this horrible long post clogging up your friends page. Hopefully, it will never happen again.
