- Baka-Updates: Most groups (or individuals) update this service with new releases, and many groups provide information for http downloads. (In fact, sign up for an account and use their awesome filtering tool (here's mine) to color code BL genre related releases - depending upon what color you use, it will look something like this).

nobody out there gets fushichou releases, it seems. :/ even the quickest uploaders are all http people. oh, i see you're not a member of manga_luve, have you checked them out? the rules seem sensible so far (just age requirement as usual, and posting format). they don't seem to be on the down-low, but if i am wrong, just zap this comment. they update VERY fast right now.
i wonder why we're all seme in here. :)

I think it takes a certain type of character to post somewhere that roused some... interesting drama; either really sweet bunnies (ukes!) or ballsy-Watership-Down rabbits.

I think I remember them advertising on free_manga months ago, but can't remember if I didn't join then and just had them on my watch list (which is useless if you're not a member XD) or joined and later left or joined and was later given the boot.
I've been interested in trying to join/re-join, but I'm a little gunshy on joining moderated membership communities these days. Never know where I stand with them, and unless I know the community doesn't have a problem with me, I don't want to 1) have them harassed in any way by some of the garbagic-drama that has occurred here and 2) be rejected by them (dude, that shit is a big "ouch").
I wonder if there's a way to feel up out the moderators to see if I could just quietly hang out (or share, I obviously love to share!)? I should probably see ( ... )

i've not noticed any particular attention being paid to the sort of rules that make free-manga iffy for me now. which also speaks for you probably being able to feel safe there. if they get harassed it won't be because of you, but because of ... uh, everyone there. :)
but i'm probably a bad one to ask -- i just never pay any attention to internecine warfare on LJ or elsewhere; i friend whom i like and i don't care if the rest of the world finds that objectionable.
...
oh, and thanks to your inspiration i have now installed an IRC client on this machine and have been sucking down IRC-only releases. next you know, i will want my old DOS machine back, *snrk*.

You know every time you (or oryssein) writes something on this subject, I want to cut and paste it and say, see, why doesn't everyone understand this? But, I'm (slowly, oh-so-slowly) learning what seems logical and commonsense to me, I should be explaining and putting disclaimers all over the place ( ... )
