It's been five long... ridiculous months since I arrived here, I've realized. Yet somehow one who's only been here hardly a month has managed to leave. The promise of this elevator had best happen soon. I'd much like to return home.
[ Can't turn a man mad if he's already mad to begin with but it's better the earl not know that, hm? ]
By better things, I'd guess you mean our business back home, hm? Perhaps if we find a way back, they'll find a way to send us back to the same time we left. It certainly seems possible.
Then hopefully, you'll be brought home sooner than expected. That way, there won't be a hitch in finishing your... business... and you'll have had time to think up a solution, hm?
If it has... perhaps I missed the memo. There were times when I found myself sleeping for more than a month.
[ Still a curious thing, however. He's gonna have to ask around about that. ]
If they manage to erase these memories we've acquired by perhaps magical means thanks to that coral, then perhaps some fragments of it might remain in our subconscious.
All the research Sebastian and I have done has suggested it, in the least. And certain people who leave and come back often claim they remembered nothing while they were home, but the memories of here were retained when reentering.
Interesting concept. [Ciel smirks.] Freudian logic, hm? [He’d just started getting big where Ciel came from.]
It's been nearly a year since I've come to this city. Next month would make it a year, I believe.
This city doesn't quite care about how much time it's been between appearances and disappearances, it seems.

[He sighs.] I'll admit--to take a vacation has been slightly relieving, however... Don't we have better things to be doing?

Yes. I’ve much to attend to, and it simply can’t be done here. [He’s got some bitches to exact revenge upon man.]

After all, one can change indefinitely given a certain amount of time, yes?

One can indeed change, however if the time spend changing is forgotten, is the subject still affected?

[ A moment to light a cigarette. ]
It was a theory. One of several.

[Ciel places his hands on his hips and sighs.]
Of course…
