i am getting very worried about lily.  i don't think she's going in the right direction... i'm afraid gerty was right, but if even the acidic narrator doesn't give her perceptions a chance -- at least not with someone like lily -- well, what chance does she have?  i already knew this wouldn't end well, but it doesn't help.
