Having just finished this one, I am perhaps weirdly unenthusiastic about others -- damned post-story ennui. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Reading this was such a satisfying journey!

I don't know how you do it - balance the vivid, tangible, poetic prose with spot-on flippant banter that sounds just like the boys, and yet is threaded with all the pain of that point in canon. And then you weave it all through a haunting casefic that just thrums with foreboding.

I miss season 2, sometimes. Especially when I think how it inspires something like this!

This is amazing and heartbreaking and perfectly captures where they are at this point, before they know how much more broken things are going to get. Sigh.

I loved the feel of this - New England coast in winter. Not pleasant at all. It was the perfect atmosphere for this, for where Sam & Dean are in Season 2. I thought Sam's POV was perfect, like that's exactly what it's like in his head. Thank you.
