I wrote two new songs. One of them is worth exploring. The other one might lighten the load of everything I've written thus far. It's a tongue and cheek ben foldsish tune about Hunter S. Thompson. Probably won't use it...but then again, there's something to be said for having a sense of humour.

The first one, called "Knew" or "New" (I can't decide which) has a really fluid definition of "key" in the chord progression. It works though, I like it a lot.

I've been thinking a lot about different kinds of knowledge and different value systems and exactly how my own impacts what I write, or more generally, how I act. I think part of my issue is that I don't really know how I value the things in my life...sometimes I worry that I make decisions because I don't know what else to do--

"Check my swagger, yo, I walk like a ballplayer
No matter where you go, you are what you are, player
And you can try to change but that's just the top layer
Man, you was who you was 'fore you got here" -Jay Z.

Keep your body in the work. (but what work are you doing?)

-Kingsley.
