Various perspectives

Last night I dreamed I was several different people in the same story, like a book using multiple perspectives. Mainly I was two young girls who were bosom friends. A lot of time was spent running through streets and through staired buildings to find the other one. One was dark and was was blonde, like Snow White and Rose Red. Both of us, right in a row, were married. Both the marriage ceremonies were beautiful with lovely music, a good amount of guests, and an immediate consummation with no reception. Both consummations occured with magic invisibility and a separate gift of golden fairy dust from at least one present fairy. I believe the dark girl was whisked invisibly off to a fairy glen and lost her virginity while surrounded by glowing fairy light. I am sure that the light girl didn't walk down the aisle-she had fairies in her troope and flew towards it, along with the groom and a processional leader who was like the palace butler. Then she was whisked magically and invisibly upward to an invisible nest high up in the like ten-story-high castle cathedral where she'd been married and a fairy sprinkled the nest with dust as she landed in it, thus spinning the nest around and assuring no one currently inside would be able to fall out of it. The wedding guests were stunned, but stayed to party. While they could see nothing of the nest or its occupants, she could look down through the invisible nest and still see all those people below her as her wedding was consummated.

I was also a knight in his thirties, based off Pietro Alaghieri in the books I'm reading, who had been fighting with the church over whether or not reading is good, which is not at all an issue in the books. As him I believed that the most prominent books out there were indeed wrong if the church said so and that's what they were going after-they couldn't possibly really mean READING was bad! I was friends with the girls. In the last scene with him a fire had been set on things like bills and other necessary paperwork, as well as books, which finally convinced me that the church, and the people now, WERE truly convinced that all reading was bad. In despair and anger I through the partially burning fucking LIST I'd rescued back into the flames and escaped into a side collegial building.

At this point I think I became confused as that building also led to the college building of other recent dreams. I was the light girl again, only at college. I ran into several janitors cleaning the building and I found a place to hide. I believed myself in danger, which would have been true for the knight and both girls if they'd run from their husbands, so I'm pretty sure I switched rapidly between all of them briefly. The end result of this futureish time and speaking with janitors was that it struck me that the one behind all of the evil things, the danger, was that grand palace butler who'd preceded the light girl up the aisle. He was particularly dangerous to her.

At this point I woke halfway up and immediately connected him to the grand butler character in the David Blixt books I'm reading, reeling and trying to figure out how it made sense that HE was the bad guy all along? It took a bit to figure out that I had simply been dreaming and Tullio d'Isolo of the books is thus far fine. If he does turn out to be evil, I will have to applaud and reward my subconscious somehow.

So, there you have it: Fairies! Consummation! Book burning! Nothing to see here, move right along, people...
