hmm
so i feel like a huge douche bag right now. someone was too wasted last night to remember to set their alarm for an 8:15 call to go sing at their choir director's home parish. at least i wasn't scheduled to do the psalm and sing on a communion verse...oh wait, i was! i did my frantic texting and emailing already, so hopefully they won't all hate me.
yesterday was fun. i spend the day downtown in the city with melanie. we stopped at the MFA so she could check out a painting for a class, then shopped on newbury, walked through the common, and shopped more in downtown crossing. after picking up starbucks for kyle and dropping it off (he was at the real world casting call), we headed back.
at 4:30 i had to be on campus to go with my 4-person class to a Greek Orthodox Vespers service. My class is on Eastern Orthodoxy, p.s., so it fit. My teacher has a Jaguar, so we felt legit, lol. It was kind of awkward in that we stuck out and also don't happen to speak Byzantine Greek, but other than that I was a big fan of the chanting and incensing, and whatnot. The cutest part was when a little boy in the congregation was walking around with some little toy on a string and pretended to be incensing the icons and whatnot. hah. i'm glad i registered for modern greek next year (read: danielle, we're planning starbucks and elementary greek conversation in the future, lol)
anywho...i'm quasi-seeing someone, but he's quite assertive, etc. and already wants to label us. i need to have a chat wif him. seeing as i may have made out with another friend last night haha, i want this to go slow so i can decide if its what i legitimately want.
i just ate a pulled pork sandwich from my dining hall and it was amazing.
