dancing is awesome

Stef and i went to Glen Echo Sat. night. She likes to
help feed my addiction. I almost took both pairs of my dancing
shoes with me, and once i got there i found out that i should
have. Somehow the heel on my one shoe got worn down funny, so my
shoe started giving me a blister about an hour and a half before the
dance was over. I kept dancing in them for a while, but ended up
putting my adidas sandals for the last hour. It's interesting the
different responses you get to what shoes you're wearing. Like
who asks you to dance, or how they guess your ability by your apearance
before dancing with you. I still got asked to dance even though i
was wearing my flip flops, i think partly because i was dancing with
this dance instructor for a bunch of dances and we were doing fun,
flashy moves, but any way ... when i was dancing with this one guy he
threw me into a spin and i lost my shoe and he had to catch me, 'cause
i almost fell. He was a nice guy though, so he wasn't upset about
the dance like some guys get when you can't follow them, or don't know
a move they lead ... or try to lead.

Today wasn't too bad either. I was supposed to go work for my
parents, but they ended up having to be somewhere. Sleeping in is
always nice. Especially after a late night. Then i had
pizza with my roomy, went to the barn, and tried really hard to find
someone to go swimming with me. Boo to all of you who were too
busy, but my roomate's guy finally left and she went with me.  We
were at the pool for a while, but then it started to thunderstorm, so
we came home. We needed to any way. We were both getting
hungry. The rest of tonight was the usual.
