kinda sorta maybe back
Am in town, but for an uncertain duration: P. developed appendicitis on Sunday, just a day after I flew back from Miami to Boston, and so by all rights I should be in Miami right now helping her out. Problem is, I developed a fever on Saturday, and while the symptoms of my illness haven't been all that problematic for me, they do mean I'm Bad Mojo for somebody who just had surgery. The doc says I should be safe 24 hours after the fever abates, and I have an appointment with the doctor this afternoon, so my hope is that he'll give me some good meds that kill the fever bugs and let me fly down to Miami soon to take care of my sweetie.
