A couple weeks ago, a passenger took advantage of a loophole in the ship's rules to get away with attacking someone. The First Mate didn't seem to have a problem with it.

There's a passenger on board who enjoys hurting others. He has a very bad reputation, and he threatened someone to the point of causing him to lash out in fear.

But the way the rules work - if someone attacks you, you can attack back without penalty. So something meant to discourage violence and encourage self-defense got turned on its head.

.....or so, I heard. I'm relatively new here myself, but that's what I was told happened between them...
