I'm finally updating with a new song i wrote.
The summer heat turns to fall
She never felt the heat at all
The alcohol made her numb
A new boy every week
She won’t find solitude in sleep
There she’ll creep alone in the night
Always waiting, giving up
She has thrown away all love
She’s drinking -she’s passing out
She’s crying- she’s full of doubt
She’s sinking- grab her hand
She’s dying-no one understands
And then you
You woke her up from sleep
And then you
You made her feel the summer heat
And then you
Pulled her up from beneath
And then you
Gave her time to breathe
So he placed his hand in hers
So what? She’s still too disturbed
To realize she’s found love
It’s okay he waits around
Stays the weekends in her town
But that won’t stop the other guys
What more could she ask him for?
Run to him don’t close that door
She’s kissing- two at a time
She’s thinking- this isn’t right
She’s missing-the life she knew
She’s shrinking- there’s much to lose
And then you
Let her treat you wrong
And then you
Still wrote her your aching soul’s song
And then you
Knew it’d be right in the end
And then you
Offered to be more than just a friend
And she waits around for no one
But she’s always standing still
And he waits around for someone
Who will love him now and always will
And then you
And then you
And then you
And then you
And then you
And then you
And then you
And then you
And then I
Realized it was you
And then I
Knew exactly what to do
And then we
Felt each other’s warm embrace
And then you
Kept me from being another tragic case
