Decemberists, yo!

so I saw the Decemberists once again last night. They hold the record for the band I've seen live the most times. They didn't disappoint at all last night. It was in Madison (their "home away from home") at The Orpheum, and while I don't like the venue very much due to the extremely high stage, the sound and lights kind of make up for the fact that ( Read more... )

i have always dreamed of seeing a decemberists show that ends with the tain! what other older stuff did they play?

i've actually seen them play the tain twice now, so i feel quite honored.

i can't remember all of the old stuff they played at the moment. my friend was writing down all the songs as they played them, so i can find out from him. i know they played "billy liar" and "on the bus mall" for sure though.

I've seen them at the Orpheum before-- if you ever have to go there again for anybody, my advice is to do the balcony. Surprisingly good seats with a very good view of the stage. Plus it's less crowded.

i know you saw them at the orpheum, i was there too :P

and yeah, i always go straight to the balcony when i see bands there. i just like to be in the front row when i see most bands, so it's kind of annoying.

yes, we were next to each other. you and danielle were laughing through cass mccombs, and there were a bunch of other people i knew sitting near us, and your mom and dave were a row or two behind us. that's how i remember it anyways.
