On the "Horizon"

Jul 22, 2008 15:56

I haven't talked politics in a while, but I'm about to.

What the eff is a "time horizon"?

Well, in financial terms, you can check it out here, but I'm talking about the "time horizon" mentioned here.

Actually, I think I know. A "time horizon" is something you say when the overwhelming majority of Americans want you out of Iraq, and even the President of Iraq wants you out of Iraq, and you find that the only people that DO still want you in Iraq are either the small number of people who follow your word blindly, or the people who will be put out of a job by you leaving Iraq (oil companies wanting protection, defense contractors, etc). Once you realize that almost NO ONE supports your position, you do what you've done all along. You create a new phrase that may fool some people into thinking you've got a new "strategery", and you sell it.
