Keeping Your Eyes Gently Closed

Mar 22, 2005 16:35

wind blows clean the leaves from the earth
drop your rake and jump in the lake
dry your eyes and look to the skies
rain is just tears
caused by the sky's childhood fears

God cries, too
but not for you

it's a shame the sky don't fall
so we can look up
and see the bastards running it all
their cameras in the sky
watching millenia go by
devouring our lives
with an unblinking eye

they'll throw a few rocks
just to have some fun
and we'll all die faster
by the bullets in our guns

Dieties kiss
and we're left crushed
jealous lovers and eternal friends
stars remain unrequited lovers, uncrossed
cosmic lovers never known,
impossible neither to be
nor to not be "meant to be"

together

if gravity changes, do you fall in love faster?
(would you fall in love, or reach escape speed?)
the vector to your heart is a straight line
through my fiery mantle

we'll orbit in an endless circle
until that wicked star gives in to ego
and Bursts

dust together
inseperable in vacuum
