I Just Won't Have A Future Anymore

Mar 01, 2005 16:37

snow falls like footfalls,
rapid and numerous

i'll lay on the ground and pray to be covered
in a blanket of indifference

deep in the soil, enveloped by the warm arms
of icey precipitation
my whispers are inaudible
confused in the tangle of dirt and worms
my speech decayed and forgotten
like a landfill in oblivion

winter blurs everything into the same grey pallete
sunlight feels as cold as rain
washing over everything with a dull golden gleam
a weak effort to break through the inevitable neutrality

plant seeds in the fall
let the winter pass
if the cold doesn't get em'
they'll die from neglect
