Read this in a magazine....please take the time to read it
"A week before Christmas in 2003, my boyfriend James and i set up an afternoon date to walk to blockbuster to rent a movie. we crossed the street at a green light. no cars were coming, so when i noticed my shoelace was untied, i stopped in the middle of the street to lace it. When i stood up, a truck was coming right at me. I couldn't breathe and my feet wouldn't move. I felt someone push me from behind and i fell onto the sidewalk. The truck came to a screeching halt, but then sped off. I saw James on the ground. He had pushed me out of the way but the truck had hit him. I started crying and asked him, "why did you do that?" He didnt respond. An ambulance came and took us to the hospital. An hour or two later, James died. I gave the police a description of the truck, and a week later they said the driver had been drunk and drugged. Here is my message: Please don't drink and drive. It may not hurt you, but it does hurt others."
