Back to school
Today is the first day of classes for summer session A. I'm taking 21 units and am probably going to want to kill myself by Thursday, but at least I will be doing something. I'm taking the last four classes I needed to graduate and am also taking some filler classes so that I can boost my GPA. My summer story will be told from behind a textbook and I am oddly excited about it.
I am hoping to crash 2 classes today. With any luck I will get into both. The classes are much smaller during the summer, but I am a graduating senior, a fact that gives me priority over other students that may be trying to add the same class. Fingers crossed. I have a plan be for one of the classes if I don't get in, but the other one is mildly crucial.
I'm rambling on about nothing because for the first time in quite literally a year I am awake, showered, dressed and ready to go and it's not even 8:00 a.m. yet. My first class is at 9:30, but I'm swinging by a friends place because I have a piece to a bike that we need to put on so that the chain doesn't keep falling off. Her neighbors moved out and left a perfectly good beach cruiser so we took it, painted it and turned it into the coolest bike in IV. We painted the body a really rich teal color and I had some metallic silver spray paint so we painted to spokes, pedals, and basket the silver. It seriously looks like something that should be in a 3OH!3 video or something. I love it. LOVE IT.
I'm going to Warped on Sunday with some friends and I am oddly excited about it. I think I'm stoked because they brought back some older bands like Bad Religion, The Ataris and Anti-Flag so the crowd may not be quite so young. The Maine, Mercy Mercedes and The White Tie Affair are playing which means a 12+ crowd will be there. I just hope they're not there in the swarms they were last year.
This is long and no one is going to read it, which is cool because I doubt I would read this had the words not rushed forth from my head itself.
