A/N: I just can't get it out of my head!
This fic deals a lot with gender issues. When I wrote "The Native" some people said that Vulcans would never be so misogynist towards female Vulcans because Vulcan is a matriarchy -- maybe they never saw Amok Time, I thought T'Pring's treatment was pretty atrocious. At any rate, logical and moral are not the same thing -- and a society that has strong matriarchs isn't necessarily nice to the women below her. (Also the idea of matriarchy / patriarchy is a human construct that might not carry over well). Finally, I didn't see very many women on the VSA when they interviewed Spock!
This is a lot of ranting...the fic is more interesting -- even funny. I hope you enjoy.
