[Continued from here and here"None of the above," I answered Nikki. Unless they've somehow changed Cordelia or Connor into one of those.. things which I doubt they had. Then there was that feeling again. I'd felt it before, I knew that I had, but it wasn't Cordy or even Connor. It was almost as someone else was here ( Read more... )

Angel really is... You know, we used to have this silent hint thing down at one point. Just one more thing that went down the drain I suppose. And of course we don't get out of here this easily, what was I thinking. Sighing, I followed Buffy back into the room, looking a bit annoyed as she all but hurls me in here.

I still have the books and the files though, I'm not about to leave without them. Letting the others try to hold off security by blocking the door, I walk over to the window. Three up, not all that high for three of us. The Slayers could easily jump down. Angel could too if it weren't for the small hindrance of the sun. Since I'm the only none 'super human' here - surprise surprise - I'm not going to risk it.

Actually, the sun went down already. How long have we been here? Time really does fly when one is having fun.

Pushing the books in Angels hand, I point toward the now open window. I guess they even need some fresh air in here at times. "This is all the information they have here. Take the Slayers, and get out the simple way before they seal the building."

Getting out my guns, I narrow my eyes as the other entrance of the lab. Doesn't seem they've arrived there....yet. If I can get out there and make a quick exit to one of the other secret passages - thank you Lilah - it should work. Getting the information out and in the right hands is more important. "Shall we get out of here?" I ask, making a run for the other door. "I'll meet you back at the hotel," I mutter, opening the door and peering around it.

Right, how did it go again? Exit, stage left.

I held the door as best as I could using some good slayer strength. Although slayer strength and all, my leg was really starting to bleed and you know, it's doing that hurting thing. I didn't know how much longer I could hold the door. I looked over at Sam and gave her a slight smile. Help was always of the good. Esepcially here and now. Not to mention with the army of security type people coming for us. "Thanks." I said.

I looked over at Angel when he said he wasn't going anywhere until he knew information. What? Was he crazy? Well this is Angel we're talking about but still. I wasn't about to leave him alone here in this place to die. No way, not going to happen. I was about to protest when Wes stepped in and gave Angel all the info we had. Ok I guess that's good seeing as how Angel would probably get it out of here better than any of us. But then I saw the book being put into Angel's hand. Crap.

He's going to know now. Well unless he already knows by the wound but still, he doesn't know about it completely. And now he will and then get worried. Which I really didn't want to put on him at all because of what's going on. Not that I would, I tend to always kind of keep things to msyelf. Also not very good. I'll have to work on that later.

Instead of trying to argue, I concentrated on holding the door while clenching my teeth to keep it closed. It helped that Sam was also holding it, otherwise I would have budged awhile ago. But I have a feeling this door is going to open sooner or later. Sooner being the key word here.

I looked over at Wes and became worried. He told us to leave through the window and he would take a different way. Uhm good plan, except foe the fact that I can't jump very well right now and he is planning on a suicide mission here. It's funny how I'm so worried about Wes. I cared about him as a friend but something felt different. It was a different kind of caring but I wasn't sure what.

I watched him go around the corner and leave. Keeping myself from running after him, I looked at Angel, Sam and Nikki. "Ok, I'm really thinking it's time to go. Angel, Wes gave you the info you need. If you stay, you'll get yourself killed. And I'm not going to allow it to happen." I knew what I had to do. I knew Angel would protest but I wasn't about to change my mind. It's the stubborness.

"Alright, we need to get out of here so when I count to three we'll open the door and then you guys get out through the window. I'll keep them busy and then once you guys are out of here, I'll follow out as well. But don't look back, just keep going no matter what!" I said already seeing Angel's no face. I could feel my leg begin to shake and then I collapsed, landing flat on my face. I looked over and saw the door pushed open and lots of guards.

I took a deep breath and I grabbed my scythe from the strap on my back. It was very handy to have that. I used it to heave myself back up and wathed as the guards surrounded me. I gritted my teeth and started fighting them off one by one. Fists and feet flying every where with some scythe action as well. "Go!" I yelled while still holding them off as best as I could.
