Continued from hereGripping my scythe I nodded in agreement to Wes. I stopped to really look at him and I saw hurt and loneliness in his eyes. A feeling I have well known for many years. Especially the loneliness. Never in my life have I been so alone when I became the slayer. But now that I'm not the only one it helps but since I'm here with alot

I've changed. Plus all that's going on around us, it's not exactly the best time to be snarky or mean. Eevryone has to work together in order for us to beat this thing. And if not, then we fall apart and evil wins. Can't have that, so I'm playing nice with Wes. And he wasn't as bad as he was when he first came to Sunnydale. We've both grown up and became adults, leaving behind the meaness and stubborness towards eachother.
I raised my eyebrows at him. "Hey, I have both brains and brawns. You know I did come up with the plan to squash the first, plus many other plans that worked out quite well thank you. I just mostly act on impulse. It helps when you're in a battle." I gave him a slight smile. He could hold his own I know, but still.
I looked over at him as he wiped blood on his jeans. That was worrying me. He shouldn't be bleeding that much and it's not like he can heal from it very fast. He is still human whether he thinks so or not. "Wes? Are you sure you'll be ok? Your wound doesn't look so good and I really don't think it's very healthy for it to be bleeding so much." I said with a slight frown. I wasn't going to let him die of blood loss.
He sort of half nodded at me as if he knew where I was going with this. I walked into the lab making sure the coast was clear. My scythe was strapped to my back just in case soemthing did go wrong again. I walked over to a few file cabinets. Not surprisingly they were locked. I tore them from the lock and began looking through them. "Let's hurry and find what we need before you or I happen to die when they catch us or from the wounds. So I'm guessing we look in medical records and recent experiments slash bringing people back from the dead?"
I began flipping through recent documents. They had to be important hence the being locked in a cabinet. I quickly read and was already not liking what I was reading...again. Maybe I should just not read anymore. It brings too much bad.

Stepping into the room, I glanced down at my arm and shrugged. "If I haven't bled to death from a cut throat, I'm hardly likely to bleed to death from a flesh wound. It's nothing really. The bullet just grazed the skin." I think. Ah well, not important right now.
Turning toward her, I give her small smile as we walk further into the room. "But thank you for caring." It's been a long time since anyone cared. Or even bothered to care. Actually, it's been so long I've no real idea how to react to it, so I just let it slide for now. Nodding at her words, we each take one of the filing cabinets. "Thanks," I give her another tiny smile as she rips off the lock. She's the brawn when it comes to that alright. I highly doubt I'll be able to rip off padlocks like that.
Riffling through these files make me sick to the stomach. I know there's a much larger file room downstairs in the basement. The one where I tried to save Lilah. And failed. "Fire wouldn't be eternal if it actually burned anything, Wes. Going through file after file, I keep looking for keywords, names, places anything which might help us pinpoint just what is true to the rumor I heard. There's nothing until I stumble upon a very thick folder about...Connor.
Frowning, I start at the beginning. "My god," I mutter, rather shocked to find out they've been keeping an eye on him since before he was even born. They've done tests with the blood they spiked Angel's with. They've had doctors at the hospital do other tests on him. Frowning, I lean against the file cabinet as I root through the file.

I gave Wes a sincere smile when he told me he was ok and I shouldn't worry about him. Well in his mind that works but in mine, it's a whole different story. I worried alot. Especially with people who I care about that are both friends and family. So it was no big for me, but to him it apparently was. "Welcome." I said.
I continued to flip through files getting kinda upset and worried at the same time. I grabbed files on Cordelia, Spike and a few others. I went to Spike's file first. It was kinda thick so I sat down on one of the chairs and began reading. They had everything on him. Then I fianlly got to the bad part. It says the spell or something was successful in bringing him back, but non corporeal. "Oh god." I said putting my hand to my mouth. I hurried and went to Cordy's which said the same thing.
I looked over at Wes. "By your 'my god' I take it you found something out too? These files say that Spike and Cordy were brought back and who knows who else they brought back. Their files must not be in here. I think we better go before we're caught."
