Well, that was a hoot and a half. Lilah getting shot in the head by little ol' Knox. They should show stuff like that on pay-per-view. I'd order it. When you're stuck inside all day even the simplest things seem to offer their bit of entertainment, even if it doesn't last too long. But I guess I've found my ammusement for the time being. In all honesty, I was looking forward to the test run taking a turn for the worst myself. I had nothing against Lilah personally, but come on. What's the fun of having everything go right on the first go? Sure, its time efficient and should have the SP's doing their happy dance, but it was all so...anticlimactic and kind of a let down. But score one for Knox for not being a total waste of space and actually getting something done around here.
"Any requests for a number two?"
I wonder if he's met Cordelia yet. I'm sure if he did he'd want to shoot her. I hear she has that kind of power over people.
After hearing someone clear their throat I looked to the door but had to adjust the level I was gazing at to spot Hart standing there in all her 4' of glory. Right... And apparently she killed...something, 'cause her clothing was stained with a few patches of crimson. Why do we let her roam around here again?
"Am I interrupting anything important?"
"Potentially. You did miss Lilah getting shot."
She pouted genuinely and I couldn't help but smirk.
"I found this in the elevator." She pointed just outside the door to a female who seemed to be struggling against some invisible force. Ghost I'm guessing.
"Was this before or after you played death dealer?"
She looked down at herself then back at me with a shrug.
"After... She's one of them. Anya. She's blessed with the power of annoying the hell out of me! Babysitting Connor was easier...my hand didn't phase through him."
I will not laugh at the misfortune of others...when they're still in the room.

I'm sure he would fail to see this wasn't a digression, thinking I was only being silly old Anya, going on and on about subjects no one wanted to hear about. A thousand years pass, but people really do stay the same.
There was a reason I was thinking all of this though, about the little duck and the bunny that mocked it. Right now, I felt like that duck.
I mean, what was the point of everything? I found out not only could I die, but a group of evil what-have-yous could bring me back without a second thought. It made my whole vengeance phase seem quite meaningless, knowing I could give someone a horrible and yet incredibly creative death, only to have Wolfram and Hart reverse it. They had to make a lot for the whole deal.
The entire way, I kept talking to the little girl that cast the spell on me. Except it was apparent she was no little girl, she was obviously a demon of some sort. She used the webbing to drag me to another room, where a man and woman were talking. The girl interuptted, and spoke of me like I was a piece of broken merchandise she had stumbled across.
She's blessed with the power of annoying the hell out of me!
"I am not annoying the hell out of you" I protested, tired of being kept on this little leash of magick, "I was simply asking for you to let me go, and continued on until you answered me." I stared at them, even though it was obvious they worked for these people. I just needed to get this net off me. I didn't have that eerie tingling my-foot-fell-asleep feeling that Eve made me feel when she demonstrated how non-corporeal I was, but it was still irksome, and I'd rather not have such a burden to deal with.
If I carried such a burden, there was no way I could escape whatever the man was going to fire out of the gun-like thing he held. Sure, I wasn't entirely certain he would use it on me, but generally it only meant one thing, and I couldn't even be sure he could actually aim it!
Xander once explained the protocol for capture. He said he saw it in a movie once.
So, time to get into character "soldier". Name, Rank, and Identification number.
"Anya Emanuella Jenkins, Alias. Ex-demon, currently ghostlike, and recently dead. Number is 000123, and I don't know a thing that could possibly be useful, so I can't see the point in torturing me to get me to join you."
Supposing everything went well, they should get frustrated by my lack of cooperation and steely nerves, and just give up. In the meantime, I could work on getting rid of this spell!

"By the way, I don't think I even know who is on the list. Just Lilah, really."
Of course, the two ghosts I happened to deal with first were the chattiest people I'd ever met. Gone were the days of the traditional ghosts rattling chains in the attic, and flinging Ouija pointers across the room.
Honestly, someone quiet would be a blessing at this point.
"Hey Anya, my name's Knox. I run R+D here."
Here's hoping she actually knew her location.

I pointed over in Anya's direction accusingly after she prattled on and on about nothing particularly interesting or important.
"Pure evil..." Wolf replied in a tone void of any emotion whatsoever.
Huffing a bit I looked back at the hovering former demon. She was very strange and not at all how I had envisioned a being who has lived for ages would act. Seeing her like this, it was hard to imagine she was actually responsible for the death of anyone...or anything, with the exception of the sanity of those who are forced in engage in a conversation with her. I guess they let just about anyone into the vengeance demon fold.
"We weren't planning on torturing you but now that you mention it..."
Yes, it is possible to torture a specter, granted its less blood and gore than the typical 'sharp implements' way of doing things, but still effective.
"Anya, we want to help you, not hurt you." Wolf began with a sly smirk which slowly grew. "Unless you like being tethered to her." She pointed over to me before setting sights to Knox. "There really should have been a memo. Ugh. Right, well, aside from Lilah and Miss Jenkins you've still got four more to look forward to. Tara Maclay..a witch, William the Bloody, Cordelia Chase and my personal fave...none other than the son of our favorite souled vampire, Connor."
"Clearly you have yet to meet the boy. If you had your opinion might alter slightly."
Connor was a pain in the ass, but he had made it clear that he despised Angel...and that's all that matters really.

Tara, and Spike?
I had helped Cordelia exact vengence on Xander once.
The last name I simply didn't know.
"Oh, no. You really don't have to torture me, that's simply a formality right?" Of course it was. Most demons went straight for the killing portion of the show.

I checked the gun one last time. "I think that she'd only end up more irritating if we torture her. Shall we just move on to the main event?" I leveled the gun, not even bothing to wait for Wolf and Ram's permission.
The next second, Ms. Jenkins fell to the floor in an undignified heap in a truly amusing fashion. So much for floating.
"Looks like it worked again." I sauntered over to the girl's side, dragging her up by an arm. "How ya feeling?" I asked, smirking slightly.

She was all touchable now, which was why my hold over her had been broken. And not a moment too soon. I needed a spiffy little gizmo like that. Okay, fine, maybe not NEEDED so much as 'wanted'.
"Well, I think I'm done here for now. Delivered your package like a good girl. Im sure...'Anna' here is a regular hell raiser, but you might want to consider zapping Angel Jr with your little toy before he causes all kinds of trouble around here. I don't really expect him and Cordelia to sit pretty in that room forever."
I'm actually surprised he's stayed put this long. If he'd gotten out I would have known about it. Why the hell HADN'T he tried anything yet? Maybe I just answered my own question with that last word. 'Yet'.
"Where exactly did you leave him?" Wolf finally broke her silence.
"With his girlfriend? He was pretty adamant about seeing her. By adamant I mean annoying. So I caved."
She nodded then stood up from her seat on the desktop.
"Keep your little contraption warmed up Knox, well be back with some more things for you to play target practice with." She looked to Anya and smiled a bit. "Welcome back to humanity Anya. Enjoy your stay..."
((I'm gonna hop my duo into the thread with connor, cordy and the other two then we can all come back together in a new thread))
