P90X: Day 32

03.22.09: Day 32

Last night I went to a party for a lady here in the apartment complex, and mingled with the people I know here…I ate a cupcake, two chili dogs, and drank too much wine for my own good.  I figured, eh, I’m working out quite a lot lately, who cares, right?  I can handle it…well, I get up today and start to knock out the Legs and Back workout, and I am just sluggish as all get-out.  Pull-ups seem harder to do, my numbers are lower or about where they were two weeks ago, my quads just aren’t having it with the lunges and squats, and during one-legged moves, I can barely keep my balance.  I thought, jeesh…I guess I shouldn’t drink like that before a workout.  About halfway through I hit the bathroom, and I decided to weigh myself, just for shits.  169.5 is what the scale says-I gained literally three or four pounds in one night!  I’m disappointed in myself for it, but I gave up about 2/3 of the way through.  I’ll eat consistently and healthfully this week, like I always do, and the weight will come off as quickly as it came on…but sheesh!  That one surprised the hell out of me.  With any luck, Kenpo won’t find me so sluggish tomorrow!
