for those who will/still read this...
My life so far has been amazing.
I've basically been gone a month and a half then back from for 2 weeks then gone for another month.
- the 1st month and a half I was out with A Plea for Purging, doing merch and helping them out when ever i could. I was deemed the nickname 'Mark $kid'(because i didnt change underwear for a week and well i had some skid marks in my undies..)The 1st half of the tour was amazing, i got to know the dudes in APFP really well, like i've always been friends with them but on that tour we became bros! I also got to know the dudes in Burden of a Day, which they are awsome dudes and an awsome band. The tour went from Alabama all the way to the west coast, then we left those dudes and went back to Cali and met up with the dudes in War of Ages and Inked In Blood. At first i was a little timid to meet the IIB dudes, due to massive rumors about the dudes, but all of those rumors were so false. They are some serious bros with me now and i love those dudes and cant wait to see them again. Of course their bus smells like Captian's D's and Chinese Food, but amazing guys and dipping buddys, so is Tj from WOA, sooo many standing around shooting the shit and massive dips in the mouth.
That tour went up and down the country, I sadly left the tour in Kentucky to get my head back in the game with Alcina.
- The 2 weeks i was home was basically spent around getting the new dudes in Alcina ready with the songs for tour and writing some new stuff before we went out on the road, and with my amazing girlfriend Sasha and of course my family. It was kind of a bummer that I never got to see some friends I wanted to see but I had to get some stuff in order first.
- The Tour that Alcina did was about 3 and a half weeks long with APFP which I was so excited about, due to the fact on this tour I became more than bros, I became apart of Family that I will never forget for as long as i live. This tour was amazing, just for the fact I was back on stage doing what I love. There were some money issues and alot of tire issues on the tour but we were taking care of and looked after were ever we went. I got to go to alot of states I never really thought of going to (Nebraska,Wyoming,Colorado..etc) By the way I despise Wyoming. I wouldnt mind that state being blown up, just for the fact an hour and half into Wyoming we blew a tire, and the wind was blowing so hard the van was moving when we had it up on the jack, and we couldnt drive over 55 because of the wind, we went broke on that drive, and at some gas station some worker at the gas station jipped us $12. But when we finally got to Idaho after an 18 hour drive, it was amazing. We played a show for maybe like 20 kids in a shed/garage and we sold around $200 in merch and had a brodown cookout. I love Idaho and all my friends from there. The rest of the tour was filled with seeing some friends in Cali and Az and playing all these towns i would never think we would ever play, espically being from Tennesee. We left the tour in Little Rock, and thats where APFP met up with this killer band called Knives Exchanging Hands. On this tour I learned alot about myself and about the new guys. Cory(our new bass player) and I became really close, its kind of funny because he used to go to Central and I made fun of him there. Weird.
-Now that we are home for awhile, we have began writing for an EP that we plan to put out ourselfs in spring 2008. Since I've been home, I've caught up with some old friends and just been hanging with Sasha and my family alot. It's nice being back and relaxing a bit, besides working alot, but I can't wait to get back on the road again with the new tunes and the new dudes.
- I am stoked on my realonship with Sasha. I am in love with her, everything about her.
I am really stoked to see what we do next as a couple, we have alot going for us and I am so excited about it. I havent felt this way in a long time and I've finally broken my curse of 9 months and I can't wait to make it a year together. It's just so nice to have everyone like us being together, even both of our parents, which is amazing in itself.
thats about it.
look out for the new tunes soon enough.
listen to sleeping giant, go see them feb 9th with us @ rcktwn.
