(no subject)

Well, it's official: I'm registered for Orgo and Bio, which makes me a pre-med student (again)! These last couple of days have been one big whirlwind. I KNOW I'm making the right decision and I'm actually looking forward to class starting again (weird, I know).

The craziest part is that I'm no longer a Drexel student :( I haven't officially un-enrolled myself, but I'm going to... soon... I'm taking all of my pre-reqs at Temple University because I'll save over $30,000. I wish my life didn't have to revolve around money, but unfortunately, it does. I can't afford to go $40,000 more in debt in ONE year just to finish a handful of pre-reqs. I'm also glad I graduated from Loyola because it's still going to cost me less to pay out of state tuition at Temple than pay for another year at Loyola.

My life is nuts. But a good nuts. I've never been this excited/terrified lol. I know I need to do REALLY WELL this year... like A in Orgo well if I want to be a competitive candidate for med-school. I talked to my pre-med advisor at Temple (she worked on Temple's Medical school's admission committee for over 14 years so I trust what she says) and she said that for post-bacc students, there's NO room for mess-ups. If I don't literally get all As this year, it could be the end of the road for M.D. programs... D.O. programs, however, are much more forgiving. I'm definitely applying to both types of schools and I REALLY hope to end up in Philly. Chris and I had a long heart to heart and we both agree that long-distance for 4 years would be too much for a relationship to handle. Which means that if I want things with Chris to continue, which I do, I NEED to get into a Philadelphia school... or possibly New Jersey/Delaware.

I start class on Monday, the 31st, and I'm REALLY looking forward to having something to do... even if it is school.
